Research Projects
Research projects related to automotive innovations are realized technically at Volke. These include, for example, systems for protecting pedestrians and crash optimization, new structural concepts, modular designs, platform and lightweight construction strategies, as well as new production and assembly procedures. In close coordination with specialists for FEM-calculation and prototype construction from the prototyping and model building departments, flexible teams create virtual geometries with which innovations can be thoroughly tested prior to their actually being realized in an automobile. In this way, it can be quickly determined whether new technologies can be used for product enhancements in current series production or for the optimization of the production process.
